The seedlings are planted in rows following the slope with enough space for their growth and care.

The Coffee Plant starts to flower in about two years and can produce Coffee Fruits for almost 30 years.

How Is Coffee Made ?
Picking : In Short , Coffee Fruits are picked wet one by one or with the help of machines. The beans are then deposited in large Recipents for 1 to 3 days, a time during which the enzymes normally appearing ferment the remaining pulp. Then the beans are washed to eliminate or remove the remaining pulp. They are then put for drying in the sun on special concrete terraces or tables and other similar objects through their passing in hot air dryers.
Then these fruits are collecetd and cleaned removing their dead skin, twigs and dirt . The cleaned fruits are then put in basket of about 60 litres and washed in a special waterspout or machine. During this process the ripe fruits are selected from the dry or the detoriorated ones.
Then they are again washed and left for about 15 to 20 days for drying in the sun , being turned upside down for about every 20 minutes for unoform drying. Mechanized dryers can accelerate the process. At an optimum humidity of 11 - 12 % the beans are shelled mechanically removing their Husk. These beans are then put in Fabric Sacks of 60 Kg (133Pounds).
Roasting : They are then put in large Roasting Machines to roast . Roasting can be Light , Moderate or Strong depending upon the aimed aroma or the way of processing the beverage. Still excessive roasting can make beans glossy , due to the loss of aromatic oils resuling a bitter and less flavoured coffee.

Grinding : Grinding also counts. The size of the granules is determined by the way of preparing the coffee. Medium sized granules are used for coffee prepared using Textile or Papers Filters , while Finer granules are used for making Turkish Coffee as it is not filtered.
Packing : Packing is also one of most important when taste comes. A Plastic Packaged Ground Coffee has a shelf life of about 60 Days , while a Vacuum Packaged Coffee has a shelf life of 1 year. An Opened Package must be kept in closed recipients, preferably in the Refrigirator.
